You will be helping to assist with people who have serious mental health problems. Many of them are unable to take care of themselves. This is a great job for those who are creative and able to adapt to situations, as there is a lot of variety from day to day.

Educational Requirements:
Psychiatric technicians typically need postsecondary education, and aides need at least a high school diploma. Technicians and aides get on a job training. You must be in good health and get a physical examination, including state-regulated disease tets, may be required. A criminal background check also is usually required for employment.
