        Healthcare Administrator

Duties and Responsibilities:

The healthcare administrator direct and manage hospitals and other healthcare facilities. They are responsible for long-range planning, financial administration, personnel administration, materials managements, purchasing, public affairs and patient administration. Healthcare Administrators also work in HMOs, health agencies, clinics, or for private practices.

Average Salary: $35,000-$100,000

Educational Requirements:

Students should take challenging high school courses in business, science, math, and English. Most healthcare administrators hold master degrees in healthcare administration or business administration.

No! I wouldn’t want to be a healthcare administrator because it sounds kind of boring to me… L

 Reflection:
Think this  statement is saying that anything you want to be is a seed. If you take care of it then it can bloom and make flowers but if you just have it there then it won’t grow flowers it will just be covered in weeds that will take a while to make it grow back to the way it should be. For example if you want to be a teacher  then you need to set your mind to it and focus on only that and do what you have to do to become one. You become what you think you are.

      Histology Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities:

Histology prepare tissue sample that are used by physicians to determine if the patient has a disease. They prepare the sample by using equipment to thinly slice tissue sample, they then mount the thin slices on microscope slid sans use chemicals to stain them so important structures are visible. Histology specialists work in hospitals, veterinary, pharmacy, or research laboratories.

Average Salary: $22,000-$35,000 (Histologic technicians)

                           $30,000-$50,000 (Histologists)

Educational Requirements:

Students should take the most challenging high school courses in science, math, and English, they also must either earn an associate’s degree in the field and complete a one year internship or complete a long-term training program in a histopathology lab and pass a national examination.

 

Answer: No! I wouldn’t want to be a histology Specialist because I’m not interested.

You can gain so much knowledge in life from school subjects to just learning about life whether you use it or not will show your true character. What is knowledge when you dont use it wisely. Knowledge is nothing if you dont have character. For example you learn not to rob a store yet you rob it your knowledge is not being put to use and you will not have a good character

                Physical Therapist

Duties and Responsibilities:

Physical Therapists help patients restore body functions, and relieve pain after an injury or illness.  Therapy can include work and massage to increase strength, coordination, and range of motion.  Therapists also apply treatments.  They also train patients to use prosthetic and othotic appliances. 

Average Salary: $25,000 - $45,000

Educational Requirements:

Students who want to become physical therapists should take the most challenging high school math, science, and English courses. To become a licensed physical therapist, most states require students to earn a master’s degree and pass a certification examination.

Reflection:I think this quote means that if you begin to think positive and have a positive attitude, then whatever your goal may be, would be a good start of an achievement. Just think positive about things and your goals. If you do that, then all should be good.

Health Information Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities:

Health Information Specialist post, obtain, workload, analyze medical finance and insurance data. They make sure that that information is properly records into medical records. They work in:
·       Hospitals
·       Clinics
·       Insurance
·       Companies
·       Physician offices

Average Salary:

$20,000-$25,000(Coding Specialists)
$23,000-$30,000 (Record Technicians)
$30,000-$40,000 (Record Administrators)

Educational Requirements:

Students should take high school courses in business, information management, science, math, and English. Coding specialists must have a high school diploma or GED certificate. Training is usually conducted on the job, but classes are offered at technical schools and community colleges. To become certified, specialists must pass an examination.

  Answer: NO! I wouldn't want to be a Health Information Specialist because its not what I was thinking of being. but they get pretty good money:)

Reflection: This quote means that you become what you think you want to be when your older. Lets say you want to be a doctor you came become a doctor because that's what your been think of being. :)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Health educators provide information on health and health related issues. They can assess health training needs and plan health education programs. They may specialize according to specific health concern, illnesses, or work or training setting. Health educators may work as independent consultants or in health departments, community organizations, businesses, hospital, schools, or government agencies. Health Educators often:

·       Preform health training needs assessments.

·       Design and develop health education programs.

·       Publish health education materials, information papers, and grant proposals.

·       Develop health education curriculum.

·       Tech health in public and private schools.

Average salary: $20,000-$35,000

Educational Requirements:

Students should take college preparatory courses during high school.

Health educators have, as a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in health education. Many have master’s degrees. To be certified or licensed to teach health in public schools requires a master’s degree and successful completion of a written exam in many states.

I wouldn't like to be this because its not want I was think of doing when I was older it sounds like a pretty easy job but not for me!

Reflection: Well I think this quote means that when your eating a fruit that's good and you have good thoughts about like how good it is and how healthy it is. And when a fruit is bad and you eat it then you taste it and its nasty and it taste so weird.

                        Genetic Counselor

Duties and Responsibilities:

Genetic Counselor work at hospitals, universities, laboratories and private clinics. They are trained to analyze genetic data and communicate risk factors to patients and their families. Genetic Counselor are trained in the following:

Ø Analyze patient histories

Ø Provide genetic testing

Ø Perform genetic risk calculations

Ø Educate families about health risks

Ø Help patients to cope with a diagnosis

Average Salary: $25,000-$55,000

Educational Requirements:

Those people who are interested in being a Genetic Counselor you must complete a master’s degree . Students can prepare for admission with undergraduate courses in chemistry, biology, genetics and psychology. Schools may require or strongly recommend volunteer experience prior to enroll in a better program.

I wouldn’t want to be a Genetic Counselor because I am not interested but it has really nice thing but for someone who really want to be one not like me. Well to me it sound boring.
