                            Perfusionist

Duties and Responsibilities:
Clinical Perfusionists operate circulation equipment during medical situations when it is necessary to temporarily and artificially replace the patient’s circulatory or respiratory function. This occurs during heart surgery and similar operations.
Average Salary: $50,000
Educational Requirements:
A high school diploma with a strong background in biology and chemistry is required to accepted in Perfusionist training programs. Perfusionist training programs are given at academic health centers and medical schools and universities.
Reflection: I wouldn’t  want to be this, but they get pretty good money

Duties and Responsibilities:
Patient Representative work for healthcare administrators to address the concerns and special needs of patient and their families. They evaluate patient satisfaction, investigate complaints, collect information about patient dissatisfaction, work with departments to resolve patient problems, and educate staff.
Average Salary: $20,000-$40,000
Educational Requirements:
Students should take challenging high school courses in business, science, math, and English. Requirements differ, but most employers prefer college graduates with backgrounds in health or social services.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Osteopathic  phyicians use accepted methods of diagnosing and treating injuring and diseases. Although they practice in all branches if medicine and surgery. Osteopaths use a hands-on approach to medicine and frequently manipulate or palpate as part of diagnosis and treatment.
Average Salary: 110,000
Educational Requirements:
Students should take the most challenging high school courses available in science, math, and English. After 3-4 years of college, prospective physicians must attend medical school, you must also have 1 year of chemistry class,1 year of organic chemistry, 1 year of biology, and 1 year of physics.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Optometrists treat vision problems. They treat vision problem and then prescribing corrective eyeglasses, contact lenses, or vision therapy. Most optometrists are self-employed, however many work for hospitals, government  agencies, optical manufacturers, or universities.
Average Salary: $78,000
Educational Requirements:
Students interested in becoming an optometrist should take the most challenging high school courses available in math, science, and English. Optomerty school is four years in length, after being awarded the degree of Doctor of Optomertry, optomertrists must pass state exams before starting to practice.

What I learn was that every American has to exercise and be in good shape its for there own good and for there own health. what I would do is work my hardest in my P.E class and exercise like ever day for at least 1 hour.it would make my fitness health much better than what it is now.

Reflection:I think that what Kennedy is trying to tell us is that if we follow the correct rules and use our minds good it we can be great and strong. If we exercise our bodies and stay healthy we can contain a healthy mind. If we don’t drink or use drugs or do any bad things we can put our mind and body healthy and string. If we work hard and smart we wouldn’t be so bad but instead at the top. Bad things are going to come through our ways and if we have a healthy mind then we would know how to take care of the situation. I plan to be more physically fit by doing the right things and not doing drugs that can mess me up.

                      Optician

Duties and Responsibilities:

Opticians fit and dispense eyeglasses for patients based upon prescription written by ophthalmologist or optometrist. Opticians help the customers select eyeglasses frames and measure their face so that correct  size frames can be ordered. They also measure the distance between the corneas of the eyes so that the lenses may be correctly fitted in the frames.
Average Salary: $19,000-$40,000
Educational Requirements:
Student should take high school course in physic, algebra, mechanical drawing, and geomerty. A high school diploma or GED certificate is needed to begin training as an optician.

           Optical Laboratory Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:

Optical laboratory technicians grind and fit eyeglass lenses into frames according to prescription written by ophthalmologists or optometrists. Technicians set lens grinding machine so that lens blanks are ground and polished. They then fit the polished lenses into eyeglass frames and, depending upon where they work, fit the frames to the patients.  

Average Salary: $15,000-$20,000

Educational Requirements:

A high school diploma or GED certificate id needed to begin optical laboratory training. Training programs last between six months and one year and are provided by vocational schools and community colleges.

                           Ophthalmologist

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ophthalmologists are physicians who specialize in the treatment of eye disorder and diseases. They treat vision problems and write prescriptions for both pharmaceuticals and corrective eyeglass lenses. When it’s necessary they do eye surgery.

Average Salary: $90,000-$150,000

Educational Requirements:
Only physicians may study to become ophthalmologist. After completing medical school and an internship, an ophthalmologist must complete a 3-5 years residency in an approved program.

Duties and Responsibilities:

They help collect data and measurements to allow the correct diagnosis and treatment of eye disease and problem. They work at hospitals, clinics, or for ophthalmologist in private practice. Their duties are
      Performing simple eye exams.
Assisting with eye surgery
           Explaining diagnostic and treatment procedures to patients.

Average Salary: $14,00-$25,000
Educational Requirements:Students will need a high school diploma and a two year of college prior to beginning ophthalmic training program. This program with help you but it with take up to two years to complete.
Reflection: I wouldn’t want to be this because I don’t really understand what I’m supposed to be doing. J

                Operating Room Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:
They assist in preparing operating rooms for sugery. They are responsible for having surgical instruments, sterile bandages and linens, needed fluids, and other equipment ready for any operations. They also hand the doctors the needed instruments during a surgery.
Average Salary: $16,000-$22,000
Educational Requirements:
For this job you need a high school diploma or GED certificate is required, junior colleges offer programs in operating room technology, and training may also be taken at large hospitals, at the end of the training period students need to pass some examinations.
