Duties and Responsibilities:

Radiation therapist basically explains treatment plans to the patients and answers questions about treatment. They also follow safety procedures to protect the patient and themselves from overexposure to radiation. They X-ray the patient to determine the exact location of the area requiring treatment.

Educational Requirements:

Although candidate may qualify by completing 12-month certificate program, employers usually prefer to hire applicants who have an associate’s degree or a bachelor’s degree in radiation therapy.
