Duties and Responsibilities:
Recreational therapist plan, direct, and coordinate recreation-based treatment programs for people with disabilities, injuries, or illnesses. Recreational therapist use a variety of modalities, including arts and craft, drama, music, dance, sports, games, and community reintegration field trips to help maintain or improve a patient’s physical, social, and emotional well-being.

Educational Requirements:
Most recreational therapist need a bachelor’s degree in recreational therapy or a related field. Though less common, associate’s, master’s, and doctoral degree are also available. Recreational therapy programs include courses in assessment, human anatomy, medical and psychiatric terminology, characteristics of illnesses and disabilities, and the use of assistive devices and technology. Bachelor’s degree programs usally include a internship.

                         Thoracic Surgeon

Duties and Responsibilities:
A Thoracic surgeon is a medical doctor who performs operation on the heart, lungs, esophagus, and other organs in the chest. This also includes surgeons who can be called cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiovascular surgeons, general thoracic surgeons, and congenital heart surgeons.

Educational Requirements:
Thoracic Surgeons have to graduate from medical school and most commonly will go on to complete a five-year general surgery residency. After they must successfully matriculate through an approved cardiothoracic surgery residency program for either tweo or three years.

                Radiologic Technologist

Duties and Responsibilities:
Radiologic technologist perform diagnostic imaging examinations, such as x-rays, on patients. They adjust and maintain imaging equipment. They also protect the patients by shielding exposed areas that do not need to be imaged.
Average Salary: $54,620
Educational Requirement:
An associate’s degree is the most common educational path for radiologic and MRI technologist. Technologist must be licensed or certified in some states; requirements vary by state. They also need to have a clinical training the coursework include anatomy, pathology, patient care, radiation physics and protection, and image evaluation.
