                     Industrial Hygienist
Duties and Responsibilities:
Industrial Hygienist evaluate health hazards, conduct health-risk assessments, manage industrial or business health programs, and provide consultation. Many work as part of an industrial or government team, although some have private practices. Industrial hygienists often:

  • ·      Collect sample and perform laboratory analyses.
  • ·      Check worker exposure to radiation, vibrations, and noise.
  • ·      Calibrate equipment.
  • ·      Investigate possible health hazards.
  • ·      Conduct epidemiological research.
  • ·      Instruct employees on injury prevention techniques.
Average Salary: $40,000-$60,000 

Educational Requirements:
Student should take challenging college preparatory courses, especially in mathematics and science, during high school. A career in industrial hygiene requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in occupational health engineering, or the physical sciences.


Reflection: I think I wouldn’t want to be a Industrial Hygienist because I don’t like what there doing it’s not really my thing.
